Lauren, is a classically trained vocalist and actor with a 3½ octave range, who also studied cello, guitar, and piano. She began performing at age five. While earning a BA degree in theater and English at Bethany College, she toured the United States for four years singing in a chorale, and landing thirteen leading roles in theatrical productions, including The Crucible, Trials at Nuremberg and Brigadon, earning a membership into Alpha Psi Omega (a national drama association). She also studied jazz in New Orleans

During the course of her career, she has appeared with such diverse talents as Stan Kenton's Big Band, Pat Cooper, Joe Pesci, and Frank Vincent. For ten years, she toured with the late comedian, Lou Caddy, with whom she did a cable television show, "The Lou Caddy Comedy Corner". She also performed at several Atlantic City venues.
